World sleep day

Today, we join the global community in celebrating World Sleep Day, a day dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of sleep for our health and well-being.

At Hull Fostering, we recognise that a good night’s sleep is crucial for the physical and emotional development of our young people. That’s why we are fortunate to have strong links with two incredible teams: the KIDS Hull and East Riding SEND Sleep Service and the Unintentional Injuries and Safer Sleep Team.

These partnerships enable us to provide essential information and support to our foster carers, ensuring that our children and young people have the best possible sleep environment.

The KIDS Hull and East Riding SEND Sleep Service offers specialised support for children with special educational needs and disabilities, helping families establish healthy sleep routines. Meanwhile, the Unintentional Injuries and Safer Sleep Team focuses on preventing sleep-related accidents and promoting safe sleep practices.

By working together, we can ensure that our foster children receive the care and support they need to thrive.

If you are a parent, guardian or foster carer in need of assistance with your young person’s sleep, please don’t hesitate to reach out to these valuable resources:
