We’re really pleased to share that Hull’s 0 to 19 Public Health Nursing Service now offers two brilliant text support lines - one for young people aged 11–19 and one just for parents and carers.

These are confidential, free, and friendly services run by qualified school nurses and health professionals, offering advice and reassurance when you need it most — no question is too big or too small

ChatHealth (For Young People 11 to 19) Young people in your care can now text the word "hello" to 07312 263 199

They’ll receive a quick reply from a school nurse who can support with -

  • Relationships and friendships
  • Sleep, vaping and smoking
  • Drugs and alcohol
  • Sexual health
  • Mental wellbeing
  • Healthy lifestyles

All messages are confidential and responded to within one working day. It’s a great option for young people who might not want to speak face-to-face, but still want help.

Please share this number with the children in your care who are aged 11 to 19.

0–19 Parentline (For Parents & Carers)

As a foster carer or supported lodgings provider, you can text Hull’s 0–19 team too for advice and support about -

  • Infant feeding
  • Teen development
  • Bedwetting, sleep and toileting
  • Emotional wellbeing and behaviour
  • Bonding, parenting support and keeping safe

Just text 07312 263 206 and a public health nurse will respond within one working day.

You don’t have to face things alone - sometimes a quick text and a bit of reassurance is all you need.

0–19 Parentline (For Parents & Carers)

Both services are free (standard text rates apply), confidential, and supportive. The nurses will only ever share information if they are concerned about safety – and will speak to you first.

Let us know if you’d like printed versions of the posters to display at home, or if you'd like us to speak directly to a young person about these services in a calm and friendly way.
